Question

how can i connect my internet connection better?

by siko001 / September 18, 2013 7:44 PM PDT

Hi people,
I have abit of a problem that i can't solve.
In my house i have 2 floors
Floor 1 i have my room
Floor 2 is where the Router and the wireless router are.

When i'm on floor 1 the internet is really slow and could barely connect to google.

i was wondering, what can i do that will boost u the connection from floor 2 to floor 1

Maybe i get another wirless router put it on floor 1 and connect a wire from the wireless router ( or from the main router) from floor 2

or maybe i can just buy some of those small athenas that you put some where in the middle between floor 1 and floor 2

Any help would be highly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

Answer
No signal

Could be just because you're a floor away. I picked up a set of dual "ears" from Ralink on Amazon fro less than 20.00 (USD) & that changed things quite a bit.
Signals get crossed & bounce off things, & the weak one's aren't going to make it through floors & walls.

Good luck.
