Hosting question

by irongate14 / June 30, 2013 1:04 AM PDT

I'm a Realtor, and no expert on hosting, etc. A third party designed my real estate site, and I'm looking at transferring to a new host. Can someone tell me if this would be pretty seamless, and what is my site designed with - Wordpress, Joomla? My current host has gone mum since I'm considering leaving. Thanks in advance.

And it was void of the usual tip offs that would reveal what system it uses other than HTML and JavaScript.

However one word popped up as the slightest of clues and here's the search I used.

That gives me some reason to think it's WordPress. Hope this helps,

Hello irongate14!

I checked your site and the webpage is created with the following.

iHOUSE ELITE Websites
ihouseelite.com

iHOUSE ELITE is a Real Estate Website design software that is proprietor to them. The files are generated by their own custom software. this type of site will not be able to be moved to a different server because the administrator capabilities are built in at iHOUSE ELITE.

To move your site elsewhere you would have to get different software and recreate the website. Hope this helped,

All you need to do is take back up of your site and database. Contact the new host and simply ask him to get it done for for. Generally all the web host do transfer for free. Taking back up is essential.
