HLS5687 White Dot Problem?

by eypuff / September 24, 2011 6:41 AM PDT

Called 1-800-SAMSUNG today and talked a very nice lady.
She told me my TV was not on the approved tv list. And gave me the number to an authorized Samsung service center. I called the number to the service center and got nothing but infinite dial tones.

Update again..

I just called them again and received the same answer. The TV set is not on the approved list and it is out warranty. This is pretty frustrating. I don't know what to do next.

I'm in the same boat

I'm still pressing this issue myself. seems to indicate that someone with this model was able to get the repair covered by Samsung. If I make any progress, I'll try and remember to post back here. There's obviously some kind of defect with a part. I'm happy with my TV and like Samsung. I'm really hoping that they make things right.

Thought I'd try asking on Facebook again, as I'm out of options. And I got the same automated reply.

At this point, I've given up trying. I've lost all hope in Samsung and will probably never buy another Samsung TV. It's so frustrating that a big reputable company like Samsung won't acknowledge their problems and own up to it.
