Question

higher end LG plasma TV's

by drmaxisone / June 16, 2012 9:13 PM PDT

do these tv have the "allshare" type feature used by Samsung? Via wifi, with my Samsung, I am able to take movie files, or pictures from my home PC and bring them to the TV. I need to know that LG has this capability, before even thinking of purchasing one of their larger plasma HD tv's. Thx

There are bugs in all the Smart TVs so far. Do you need this to be bug free or will "works for 98% of us 98% of the time be OK?"

Will issues such as playback hanging on videos over an hour bother you?

It should have the LG Smart Share. I have the LG LM8600 Smart TV and I did not have to read any manuals for step-by-step instruction on how to set it up. YouTube has the video instruction on how to do that. Download the PLEX, install and connect it through the Media Link on the Smart TV menu. Or click the link below. That feature is pretty much standard across all TV models within the manufacturer's product line.

Smart Share

LG smart TVs do have the smart share feature but I wouldn't get a plasma from LG. LG makes the best LED TVs but not plasmas. If you're seriously considering a plasma TV, then get a Panasonic. Idk if Panasonic has the smart share tho.. If you're not, then take a look at LG's LM9600. It's the top of the line LED TV right now IMO.
