I am lucky in that my Logitech v470 has yet to show this error and I have a HP Vista 32 bit machine.
Read the links above to see how others deal with this.
Running Vista ultimate on HP HDX. At startup and at various times, I get the message "HID data has stopped working" and the mouse stops working. If I can cancel the message with the touchpad before the close program message appears, the bluetooth mouse (MS 5000)will continue to work. If not, I need to remove the mouse from the bluetooth device settings and then re-add it. This is really been aggravating. Tech support wants me to restore the operating system to its shipped state (they think something was corrupted) which means I will have to save all my work, pix, etc, restore, reapply updates, software, etc. Is there another solution? Thanks in advance.
