Help! MP3 player won't turn on

by antimatter34 / May 19, 2007 1:54 PM PDT

I have a Creative Zen Vision: M 30GB mp3 player. I tried connecting it to my computer using the USB port. When I did this the player turned off and wouldn't turn back on. I tried hitting the reset button but it still won't work. Thanks for your help.

If it doesn't turn on ...
by Kees Bakker / May 19, 2007 6:38 PM PDT

when disconnected and all items from the Help section of the User manual don't work, it's time to bring it back to the shop to have it repaired. You might still have warranty on it.

Are you sure your USB-port is correctly functioning?

Repair
by antimatter34 / May 20, 2007 9:32 AM PDT

Yeah I'm pretty sure that the USB port works correctly because other devices work when connected to it. I thought maybe I did something wrong by connecting it to the computer while the player was still on instead of turning it off first but I don't think thats the case. It used to charge just fine and I think unfortunately the warranty is over now. Oh well I guess I'll have to take it somewhere to get repaired...

Had the same problem with several Players
by keithsplace / May 20, 2007 7:52 AM PDT

I purchased a Creative Zen for my wife... Online ordered, it arrived DOA.. would not even boot or power up.. after first charging..

sent it back and got a Cowon iAudio and it arrived DOA would not charge.. and the replacement was great....... for about 3 hours till
it would not start up the next time.. locked up power up would only light the controls up... geez great luck huh!

Well I had a Samsung that I love and never had the first problem with.. so I got her one of a style she liked.. not a hard drive one this time... works great. I suggest stick with flash memory players..
