Since you had it serviced you ask the tech to complete the repair. Repairs come with a warranty so all this means is that you use that repair warranty.
I have a Samsung LE46f86BD and have just had the AV board replaced after it decided to die on me. I think it was caused by a power surge via the aerial connector as my sat receiver also blew.
The problem I have now is that, although the AV works fine, scart connectors work fine, the HDMI input channels are not recognising anything and are greyed out. Apart from that the TV seems to work ok.
