i mean really, i'm down to zero...zilch, nada!
have a 20gig hard drive, n most times i prefer
2 keep at least 300mb free. But somehow, my disk
space (and this has been going on for about 3
weeks now) started to disappear... i am not
d'loading anything, but it seems like somethin
else myt be eating up my HD. I could boot my pc
with 80mb free, but afta an hour or so it all shrinks
to zero again

I also read similar threads in these forums but non of em actually helped resolve the problem. I reduced my system restore to
7% (from 12), i downloaded ATF-cleaner which i'm
basically now dependent on as well as treesize.but
the problem is still there! i keep having 2 delete
or tranfer other files 2 my flash just to clear space..

if anybody knws how 2 resolve this problem please help,
i would greatly appreciate it! thanx

Searching for files created in the last week. I can also use TREESIZE or other tools to hunt them down.

-> There is no magic click here or software for this one. Just the old school search for what it is.

In closing since your machine works fine otherwise try the usual cleanup with CRAP CLEANER (see googlecom) as well as turning off system restore and turning it back on to have it clean up and start fresh.

There are some worms that caused this I beleive.

I can't remember whether it was Sasser, Blaster, or MyDoom. But I am sure it was one of those that exhibited this symptom. In other words? Download every single Virus and Malware scanner on the planet and scan your system until it is squeaky clean. And get your files backed up.
