Show Hidden Devices under Hardware Device Manager in your Windows Control Panel.
Look for "TDSSserv.sys". If found, right-click it then select disable. Do not select uninstall but choose to "disable"
Reboot the pc.
Scan the system using up-to-date antivirus or anti-malware.
If the problem continues, I suggest to send your log in Malware Removal forum over Malwarebytes Forum.
Hey everyone I've been struggling with this irritating 'google redirect virus' that seems to be immortal. My girlfriends computer is running Windows Vista and uses IE as a browser. I initially installed Malwarebytes and Tweaknow Regcleaner to see if this rid of the problem. The results had several errors which i cleaned but the redirect virus is still occuring. I read up through the internet of similar problems and I keep seeing people post their results from Hijackthis.I have Windows Vista and have been experiencing problems with the search results with google that redirects to a different website. I know this problem is being discussed in a seperate thread but I was wondering if someone could help me as everything I've read hasnt helped much.
