Google Maps Slow

by arolar / March 6, 2010 12:29 AM PST

I have been a user of Google maps for some time and I really like it. Over the past few months I have noticed that the Google Maps are very slow and I have even tried the troubleshooting guide AND that was slow. I have used IE8 and Chrome as browsers with similar results

Anyone else notice this? Any thoughts? I suppose I can use Mapquest but I do prefer the feature set in Google maps.

It's not prohibitive, but Google Maps has been under-performing in my more recent experience. However, I prefer the Bing mapping service under most circumstances, so I use it instead.

I have yet to try Bing for mapping. I may give that a shot too. Thanks
