Free Data Recovery Software?

by Shipuie / August 27, 2007 10:37 AM PDT

I accidentally "erased" my external hard drive from Disk Utilities and I would like to try and recover my files, but I see that all of the data recovery software costs around $100. I was wondering if anyone knows of any decent data recovery software that is either free or cheap?
Thank you!
