Connection Problem Answer

I had the same problem, but if you would go to download AVG free again, and when you get to the page that asks you to download AVG 9.0 Free or upgrade to AVG Premium for free, scroll all the way to the bottom on the left side, and you will see a prompt that says "You can download AVG Anti-virus Free from AVG directly". I copied the link below - just click on it and download this one. It worked for me.

AVG 9.0 Download Problem - Error Code 0xE001C04E
by peterlittleton / October 27, 2009 10:56 AM PDT

Having used AVG for over 8 years I was very surprised to encounter problems when trying to install AVG 9.0. I too kept getting the message that there was no Internet Connection, which I knew was wrong.

I had downloaded the AVG 868Kb Download Manager file from CNET and tried for 3 hours to get it working, but without success.

I then took the advice in the above post and downloaded and saved the full 72.5Mb file directly from AVG using the link at the bottom left of the AVG page, http://free.avg.com/us-en/download?prd=afg

It then ran and installed perfectly, many thanks for the advice, I wish I had found it earlier.

Light bulbs you shouldn't buy

There are plenty of dimmable LED light bulbs, but make sure you don't buy the ones that flicker when you dial them down.
