by Mickeymost1 / August 16, 2013 5:56 AM PDT

Hi I have had a on scree message from samsung to say that a new firmware is available for my samsung smart tv model number UE40ES8000U but when I have put it onto the proper usb stick and connected it to the tv and gone into the menu on the tv it says there is not one to download.
Could someone please let me know if there is a firm ware available as I have done everything samsung should be done. And if there is a number for it could you please tell me that number.

Answer
For this, head to the CNET SAMSUNG FORUM.

Do it fast as the Ambassador is out on weekends. If you are in the USA, 1800SAMSUNG is next.

Be sure to only use SAMSUNG advice. If someone tells you what to do and the HDTV is "bricked" then you may learn why no one other than SAMSUNG should answer.

You must deal with Samsung for this issue as any advice can result in a dead TV. Since no one wants that I suggest you post in the noted forum (probably too late for a reply today) and the Ambassador should redirect you to support in your country.

I just saw the Ambassador post in the Samsung forum. I don't see you posting there. Hope you do this fast or they usually don't reply over the weekends.

CNET has been lucky and in the forum I noted and supplied a link to, there is a SAMSUNG rep in that forum. AKA the Samsung Ambassador.
