firewall

can you tell me is zone alarm free better then the firewall that comes with windows 7 ?

I'll say no, since the "value added" features in ZoneAlarm don't really add any value. The one most people like to cite is outbound filtering. First of all, the Windows firewall can do that too (there's no such thing as a one-way firewall). Secondly, by the time that has any practical value, you've already been infected with something, and you're just trying to contain the damage. IMO, if you have to ask, then the Windows firewall is just fine. The people who need something more will know it, and not need to ask.

Plus, I think it's ZoneAlarm that has a nasty habit of completely disabling your network access (meaning no Internet) when you uninstall it. Don't quote me on that until someone else verifies.
