Firefox with Yahoo mail

by balisue / December 13, 2004 11:13 PM PST

When I write email in yahoo mail using Firefox, I can't get any message formatting: font, color, size all are unavailable. Has anyone been able to fix this?

ActiveX controls
by acarlos1000 / December 14, 2004 8:57 PM PST

Hi balisue,

I think that's because Yahoo uses ActiveX controls for the Rich Text Editing, just as happens at HotMail. So there is no way to use ActiveX controls on Firefox or other non-M$ browsers.

Best,

Antonio Carlos

YMMV, I fixed it by installing Java SDK, and top rated Firefox plugin. Good Luck
