ES8000: Anynet+ Receiver defaults to Off whenever TV starts

by _shaggy_ / February 12, 2013 5:31 PM PST

I've seen one similar post to this, but without a resolution, so here's a description of my problem.

I have a new UE55ES8000 and discovered when connecting it to my receiver (Pioneer VSX-LX70) that Anynet+ is supported on both. For this to work, Anynet+ Receiver needs to be set to On on the TV menu.

When I press the Power button on the remote, both the TV and receiver turn off. But when I turn the TV on again, the Anynet+ Receiver setting has been set to Off, and manually has to be turned on again.

The other post I saw suggested the TV is in shop mode, but I've confirmed that mine is not in this mode. Any suggestions for how to keep the Anynet+ setting On when the TV is turned off?

Hi shaggy,

Thanks for your message. But just so you know, I support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for the UK. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) So if you want the most accurate information, here's the Samsung UK portal for support on that product:

Hope this helps you!
