Endless "Updating" on first use of Smart Hub

Brand new UE32 ES6300U which, when you select Web Browser for the first time, goes Connecting > Updating FOR HOURS! We have a good wifi connection and Network Status check is fine. Is this normal?

Sadly yes.

With the recent storm I'm hearing a lot of grumbles about how this system works. May take awhile for it to all get sorted out. And then you have folk's home networks to sort out too.

Hard to tell which issue it is given the sparse details so far.

Thanks for your message. But just so you know, if you want Samsung support, I support US products and customers. And from what I can tell, this model is for UK. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) Many thanks for your help. I have actually given up on the (not so) smart facility and am just using it as a telly until I get a mac mini and do the computer thing properly.

I will chase down the links as well so your time has not been wasted.
