Randomly lettered file names are tough to find on Google because they don't have a file name which has been searched for before. In order to find out more about the trojan and its effects, visit the McAfee virus library and type in the TROJAN NAME, not the file name.. It should get you more information..
And because McAfee is NOT the best trojan remover, try downloading, installing, updating, then run full scans with both of the free malware removal programs below:
Hope this helps.
Yesterday I found two new files on my PC that were being executed from my registry Run folder. I was not sure where they came from, but today, while scanning with McAfee, I was informed I had a trojan. McAfee pointed to a file called edmsi.dll. The other two files I found on my PC were potsec.dll and quishb.dll. McAfee was not able to delete the trojan. I deleted them myself and removed their calls in my registry while in safe mode. I believe the problem is gone.
What I don't understand is why I can't find any information about these when searching on google. Does anyone know info about them or where I can find some? Could I still and more work to do in order to make sure my PC is clean?
