Drag and Drop MP3 Players

by R2D2j / June 9, 2007 12:40 PM PDT

Are there any decent MP3 players that allow drag and drop? I have a 30GB IPOD and I am tired of dealing with Itunes. I need one with a couple of gigs and no sound recording.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

My Ipod came with Itunes which you have to use to add any music, photos, or video. You drag and drop files into Itunes, but it isn't true drag and drop. Itunes renames all the files and sticks them in lots of folders with random file names. You can get other software on the web for an Ipod, but I haven't any free Ipod software that is any good.

Most hard drive based players like zune have similiar software.

Cowon players are excellent for drag & drop. The D2 and the U3 are self-databasing with the latest firmware, that is they'll scan your songs on the player, read the MP3 tags and allow you to browse by artist, album, etc.

I think the moderator is misunderstanding what you want.
