Downloading Skydrive Photo Folders

by CaptScar / April 6, 2010 1:03 AM PDT

I have changed computers and wish to download my pictures from Skydrive. I can download individual photos but I would like to download folders. I can not highlight a folder and then save it to my new computer. I live in the UK

Download as .zip file...
by John.Wilkinson / April 6, 2010 4:26 AM PDT

When viewing the folder in question, you can click More->"Download as .zip file" to download a ZIP file containing all of the files and folders in that folder. After Downloading, extract the contents and you will have a file structure identical to that on SkyDrive.

Hope this helps,

P.S. Note that Microsoft has separate versions for Internet Explorer and non-IE browsers, with Internet Explorer being required to access some site features.

SkyDrive Folder Download
by brett_windows_team / April 8, 2010 8:09 AM PDT

I like what was said before but if you want anymore information try this link. I also posted how to do it again just in case!

SkyDrive allows you to download entire folders as a .zip file.
Click to open the folder you wish to download.
On the menu bar select more, and from the drop down menu choose "download as .zip file."
Click Save, and choose the file destination. Hit OK, and your file should download.
(initially available only in the United States, Denmark, and Ireland).

I hope some of this helps.
