Download trouble and windows not remembering last save locat

by Stabbth / March 16, 2014 2:10 PM PDT

I'm using Windows 7. No matter what browsers I use (Chrome, IE or Firefox) when I save photos off the net, it keeps going to a random directory instead of "remembering" where I last saved. Anyone know how to fix this?

Also, I have been unable to download files from Depositefile, rapidgator, and a few other similar sites. I'm at a loss as to why this is. Anyone have some guesses that could help me troubleshoot? Thanks. Let me know if you need more info. on my system etc.

And it's by design which is Microsoft's code word/phrase there is nothing wrong here. If you save a PDF then the next time you save a JPG it won't repeat the same folder here. It's been that way since about 1995.

There are folk that feel it's time for that to change.

I am not talking about a different file type. I'm talking about when I am trying to save the same type of files.

(NT) It's file type agnostic

Again, not considered a bug in Windows.

I'm short changing you as this area was recently discussed at length. There's a lot of newer users today that are griping about areas of Windows (or rather the app!) that does this.
