DON'T BUY PANASONIC EM5 SERIES TELEVISIONS

by L32EM5D / October 15, 2012 4:28 PM PDT

It does not support all Video/Audio codecs of .avi/.mkv files.
The brand is purely cheating the customers by specifying that the supported formats are AVI,MKV,WMV,ASF,MP4,JPEG,MP3,AAC,WMA,FLV,3GPP

I have tested with various file formats but most of them are showing either AUDIO CODEC NOT SUPPORT or VIDEO CODEC NOT SUPPORT.

Actually, It makes sense to buy PANASONIC EM5 SERIES TV sets
by L32EM5E / March 3, 2013 3:51 PM PST

Just tested my L32EM5E. For USB Playback your USB drive has to have FAT32 file format. It looks like NTSC is not supported. All you can do with NTSC is just to read file directory.
So far, my L32EM5E reads .MP4, .MKV, .WMV video formats. I was not able to read .AVI format yet. So, I convert it to .MP4
Good luck with your L32EM5D,
Andrei
