Question

Does the samsung n150 have a boot menu

by Johnny7102B / September 23, 2013 7:11 PM PDT

Hello,

I am considering to buy a samsung n150 netbook. Therefore I would like to know if it has a boot menu, also sometimes called BBS popup menu. This is a bios menu that you can activate by pressing a certain key (often the Esc key) at the start up screen (the very first screen you see, when you turn the computer on). This menu offers devices to boot from, like hard disk, CD Rom, etc. And this choice is usually independent from from the settings in the bios setup menu.
So anybody able to answer this question please.

1. The CNET Samsung Forum.
2. In the USA 1800SAMSUNG

The problem is that even if it had that feature, the new secure boot UEFI BIOS changes usually wipes out the idea of booting until you catch up with the new system. I can't write all there is to know about UEFI here.

The button to bring up the boot menu is ESC.

Sorry for bumping this thread, it's the first result for "samsung n150 boot menu" on Google and this needs a proper answer.

The Samsung N150 netbook does not have UEFI and therefore R. Proffitt's answer is totally wrong, why do people post here if they don't have a clue?

The button to bring up the boot menu is ESC. This will open a small window showing you all the connected harddrives and USB sticks. No need to change anything in BIOS.

Samsung at the time didn't document this.
