"Does anyone know what these files are for"?

A few days ago i read up on a post from CNET forum some people had valid reasons for posting the same curiousity i have but for unknown reasons this issue:-> about files (VERCLSID.EXE)-3667BD89.pf became a dead issue. Just wondering if during tuesday 4/11/06 patch day has anything to do with strange ah files,whats the story here does anyone know i did a google search 2 days after reading the post here.Please could someone give us some typ of feed back im not sure if i should delete all 4 files from my system They are the following; c:/WINDOWSPrefetch c:/WINDOWS/system32 c:/WINDOWS/SoftwareDistribut... c:/WINDOWS/SoftwareDistribut... What purpose do they have ? and i keep getting faulty bucket hanging application for Indows Media Player 9 i have emacines Windows XP Home Edtion 512 MB DDR SDRAM 3000+AMD Athlon TM 64 Processor IE 6 Browser Thanks a bundle...

CARIBE49,

I could tell you What The Files Do But What Ever You do, Don't Delete Them. But You Would still Be in The dark As to Their Funtion

Also You should Know That Media Player is a Big Drain On Your CPU. There Are Better One's out there, Like VOL Player That Will Play Any Type Of Media that is out there.

All so There is One Called BS Player From The UK.

p/s: If Your Going to Use Media Player Then Down Load The New Media Player 10 It is Much More User Friendly
