Connection of HDTV, Blu-Ray, HD Cable Box AND Surround

by wayne_price / February 27, 2010 5:30 AM PST

Fellow CNET Audio/Video "Pros",

I have a 58" Panasonic HDTV, a HD Cable Box, a Panasonic Blu-Ray Player, and an "older" style SONY (DAV-C770)Surround Sound System. I am trying to connect all components, and am having trouble doing so. At this time, The TV and Cable Box are hooked up and operating fine, and I have the Blu-Ray Player hooked up to the HDMI Input 1 port on the TV, so I can view and hear it through the TV. However, I need someone to walk me through exactly how to run the older Sony Surround Sound system through all of this, so I can utilize the speakers of the unit for surround sound purposes.

I really appreciate any and all support - this is driving me crazy!

Best Regards,

Wayne Price
