Connect HDMI or DVI output cable to composite input on TV?

by nodsirrah / November 28, 2010 1:10 AM PST

The HDMI input board on my TV died, the component inputs are used for DVD and Dish receiver. Before the board died I used a HDMI from my computer video card.
The computer video card has HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs, the DVI goes to my computer monitor. If necessary I can connect the monitor with VGA and use the DVI for the TV.
What is the least expensive way to connect a HDMI or DVI cable to the composite input on the TV? I realize the video quality using composite is not very good. This will be temporary until I can afford to fix the HDMI problem on the TV.

But why not play DVDs on the PC and see if the Dish receiver has composite outputs?
