by kimmyhead_oicu812 / April 9, 2011 3:15 AM PDT

Hello..I wondered if anyone could suggest a DVD Decoder that is compatible with my WMP 11, so I can watch DVD movies on my PC? My operating system is Windows XP Prof. SP 3. Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to offer me!

Thanks for your quick reply, Bob. I did successfully manage to download "Windows Essentials Codec Pac, Media Player Classic" and all seems to be working great, except for one "tiny" problem...the whole screen is UPSIDE DOWN! Any ideas?

That's a bug in the CODEC or a setting.

"Q: AVI files containing H.264 video play upside down in BS.Player and WMP

This problem should only occur in combination with old versions of CoreAVC. So make sure you are using the latest version. Another solution for playing these files correctly is to enable H.264 decoding in ffdshow. Go to ffdshow video decoder configuration. At the 'codecs' page, set H.264 to 'libavcodec'."

You need to ask the author exactly how to fix their offering.
