Chrome back to I.E.

Hi, when i uninstall Chrome back to I.Explorer, I loose the use of the shortcuts on my desktop and all elsewhere, and if I restore Chrome alls well again. I run Vista; many thanks, Peter.

and uninstalled chrome w/o any problem. All my shortcuts on my desktop work.

don't uninstall Chrome and just leave it as it is.

You can use any number of different browsers on your system with any conflict or ill-effect, so just use IE.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'all shortcuts'. Do you mean just web shortcuts or every other shortcut as well, like the ones that open applications? What happens when you attempt to use these shortcuts?

Have you tried System Restore to a date before you installed Chrome?

1- copying all shortcuts into a folder and store the folder in a flash drive.
2- Remove the drive from your PC
3- uninstall Chrome.
4- Put back the flash drive
5- Copy back all the shortcuts.

I have to say quite frankley I too am surprised this is happening, but who knows whats going on.

Also try reading all the popup screens while you uninstall chrome, you maybe given an option to delete/not delete shortcuts.
