...it's not going to solve the problem of MS dropping support for XP. When they drop support, there will be no bug fixes and no security updates. This means there will be an increasing no. of problems for people who stay with XP including vulnerability to viruses/malware and it will become more and more difficult to find new software that's compatible. Chrome is just a browser, Firefox is another browser, but neither is an operating system.
I'm running a old Dimension 4500 (That works just fine) Windows XP Home Svc pac3. I am unable to upgrade IE9 and do not have enough room to even upgrade to Vista. Would switching to Google Chrome end the worry of the end of XP support? And if so , Is there a tool sort of like a upgrade adviser to tell me if Chrome is compatible ? Thank you.
