Cannot download anyting from cnet

by petergriffin608 / September 12, 2012 8:06 PM PDT

I want to download PDF 2 XL converter.

I click the Download Now Green button.

I get a pop-up box asking whether to download cbsidlm-tr1_6-PDF_to_Excel_Converter-10464282_exe
I download and save it in the HDD. This is a 574 KB file.

I double-click this and run it and after some time,
I get this screen. "Your download cannto be initiated. Please go back to and try again."

This is same for every download.

I have XP SP3 and use Firefox 8.0.1.

Seems you didn't donwload the setup program, but our own ad-supported downloader (hated by many of our members). Better click the 'direct download' link to download the setup program directly. If there is none, go to the site of the maker and see if it can be downloaded from there.
