cannot delete voicemail receivd icon from samsung galaxy ace

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace which is showing a voicemail icon which I cannot delete. Any ideas?

Same here and it's not a Samsung.

I had to play that voicemail and on that screen was the trash icon.

I played the voicemail, then again and again...........it's still there!

Back to your cell carrier's counter. Show it to them and if they can't delete it, ask them to fix or replace the phone.

Since this is an Android, I take it you did tap the menu key to see if a delete was there.

Yes, I've gone down all available avenues in search of a delete option. I'll be taking your advice and will be asking for a repair/replacement. Thank you.

Remove voicemail icon

I have a Samsung galaxy, but I think this should work for your ace:

Go to Settings
Applications
Manage Applications
under All go to Dialer
Clear Data

This won't clear all your contacts, favorites, and calls log. At least, it didn't for me. So it should just erase any pending notifications you have on screen relating to calls.

Try Dialer Services, too; I did both just in case.
