Can't scan to computer

It won"t scan. I am useing H.P image zone for my photo printing. Push get images,from scaner, window opens up "system cannot find the file needed". Went to H.P. "help" section, followed their instructions, Went to "chat with on line teck". Waited for over an hour and no responce.Can any one out here help. Useing H.P photosmart 2575 all in one printer, and windows XP home with SP2. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Don't know what HP Help "follow their instructions" told you to do but one clean method is to:
Uninstall the HP s/w
Reinstall the HP s/w from the CD or a download from the HP site.

This gives you a clean starting point with all files installed.

Check Device Manager to see if scanner drivers are installed (no splats)
Then if OK, go to HP website and look under Support for Updated Drivers.
You can also try unplugging USB cable from scanner & rebooting, then plug USB cable back into scanner - it should then recalibrate itself

Aafter unstalling three (3) times, I did unplug printer, removed everything and reinstalled from CD.
Guess what. It worked. It only took me 7 hrs to do such a thing, however I guess thats how we all learn. Again, THANKS to every one that answerwed---Walt
