To have it fixed for you. There are issues with Microsoft's email services and as such you should have a few accounts for the days that Microsoft is not working.

Try or in your country for a spare account.

Thanks for your replt Bob. Thankfully this isn't my main emal account and I do have other email accounts. This one I use mainly for "deals" etc which aren't very important - just annoying that it hasn;t worked for 2 weeks. Is this normal as it hasn't happened in the few years I have had the account.

I get my important emails through bigpond and gmail OK and all the bigpond email accounts are coming through Windows Live OK - it's just this one which is the only email account I set up solely through Windows Live.

Hope I am making some sense. I remember getting a notice about updating to Windows Essential or Skype - sorry "Senior Moment" and wondering if I have jiggered the system somehow.

I'm using Windows 7 and have no problems with any other email accounts - just this one.

Good to hear you have other accounts.

Microsoft's email system does go down and it's nothing you did. And I've seen folk try to fix it and if they had only let it be, it does come back.

You didn't change a thing so it's not yours to fix. And Microsoft seems pretty nonchalant about this since it's a free service.
