can't operate allshare- please help

by koompy / January 26, 2013 4:27 PM PST

i have Samsung 51e550 plasma.
used to work with allshare until something happened to my d partition and i had to install and make settings from the beginning.
my os is win 7 64 bit.
after installing allshare , set the folders i want to share, allowed all permissions in allshare and defined sharing on those folders , i can't see those folders in allshare window, even that it shows kind of transferring proses.
when i try to add one of the folders again it says : "the folder is already exist"
the tv do show the allshare device from which i used to see the shared folders/files ( so i suppose it is not an net connection issue) , but when i choose let say videos, or the other one's, it says that there are no files/folders.
i read a lot on the net and tried almost everything, but it didn't help.
also, a lot of times that i try to click one of the allshare options, the program crashes.
please, please- HELP.

Hi koompy,

I'm sorry to hear this has happened. I'll admit I had some trouble understanding what your issue is, so I'm going to ask you to clarify on a couple points:

Your model is the PN51E550?

Your behavior is that after installing Allshare on your PC, you're unable to share files from this window, right?

my TV model is : ps51e550 (guess it's an Europe model).
strange but this window you enclosed is a bit different in my allshare. maybe a different version?
i don't see here an option to add a print screen file. but in this window i didn't have problem, only with 'file management screen' .

since i wrote this post i "played" a bit with permissions and set the relevant folders to 'share with' , not sure exactly what i done but suddenly the folders in 'file management screen' . appeared and actually it works also on the TV.
the only problem left is when i apply some function, let say 'add shared folder' from the file menu, it says "the folder already exist" and when i press o.k i got windows massage " Samsung allshare player has stopped working" .
and it's happens with several functions i do on allshre.
so in summery , right now i can watch the shared files on my TV, and what is left is the above issue.
is there several versions of allshare ?

Hi koompy,

Yeah, there are different version of Allshare. I honestly don't know which version I linked you to. It may be the most recent, but I'm not sure.

Also, just so you know, I support US products and customers. Since you're in Europe, I can try to point you in the right direction. For right now, I'll just assume you're in the UK, so here's the Samsung UK portal for support on that product:

Hope this helps you!
