Download difficulties could be caused by a conflict with another security or network filtering software. Please provide us with an msinfo output for analysis.
Also, please check whether disabling individual components is sufficient to rectify the situation. Which component(s) need(s) to be disabled in order the downloads are working properly? More information on how to disable individual AVG components can be found in this FAQ article.
The only way I can get a download to start is by disabling AVG.
