Can't find replacement screen for HP Folio 13

I bought an HP Folio 13-1035 nr (at Best Buy) and the screen is broken. I have replaced many laptop screens over the years and was not too worried... until I tried to locate a screen online. None of the usual vendors had one nor could they get one. HP charges a fortune to replace the screen (more than half what I paid for the whole shebang), wondering why I can't locate a replacement screen online. Maybe there is a wider category of compatible screens I am not aware of? Any ideas? Thanks!

Return it fast. Spare parts for laptops are not a sure thing but HP should sell spares.

One of my kids stepped on the screen. NOT returnable or covered by warranty, this one is out of pocket.

As time passes and more screens are needed, those vendors tend to find them and then they may be available.

Sorry about my misunderstanding. I read what you wrote and it almost sounded like you bought it broken. Some folk have indeed done that and you wonder why.
