Much more info needed
by wpgwpg / January 6, 2013 11:51 AM PST

Think about your post. You haven't said what OS you have, what you're trying to connect to, how, and what error message(s) your getting. How can you expect anyone to answer with such a lack of info?

Often it happens after the owner installs a new router and the new router has a firewall.

by coolblue521 / January 6, 2013 7:38 PM PST

I've had this router for about a year now the only thing I can remember doing within the past couple months is changing the password to get into our wireless internet I just checked there's no firmware updates for the router or anything like that.

Tried Re-Initializing The Modem/Router?
by Grif Thomas Forum moderator / January 7, 2013 3:05 AM PST
In reply to: Info

First, turn OFF the computer, then turn OFF the router, then turn OFF the modem (if separate from the router).. Wait ten minutes. Now turn ON the modem and wait two minutes for it to re-initialize with your ISP.. Then turn ON the router (if separate from the modem) and wait two minutes again.. Now turn on the computer and see if things are better.

And although you mentioned changing the password on your wireless internet, you didn't tell us whether YOUR connection is wireless your whether you're using a ethernet connection to the router.. If the above step doesn't fix things and you're not using a wired ethernet connection, you might try it as a test to see whether the wireless connection is indeed the issue.

Hope this helps let us know more.
