CAN'T CONNECT LAPTOP TO INTERNET WIRELESSLY

JUST BOUGHT NETGEAR RANGEMAX NEXT {DG834N} I CAN SET IT UP ON MY PC {WIRED} AND GET INTERNET BUT CAN'T SET IT UP ON MY LAPTOP {WIRELESS} I FOLLOWED EVERY THING IT SAID TO DO ON SET UP DISK AND STILL IT WON'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET WIRELESS ANY SUGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRICEATED

OPERATING SYSTEM WINDOWS XP HOME FOR BOTH PC AND LAPTOP
LAPTOP DELL INSPIRON
PC PACKARD BELL
NETGEAR RANGEMAX NEXT WIRELESS-N ADSL2 + MODEM ROUTER{DG834N}
