Question

Can Panasonic TCP55VT60 Skype Camera be moved?

by johninbrooklyn718 / May 7, 2013 4:10 AM PDT

I just purchased and installed one of these. The picture is really good and I'm still wading through the other features.

One thing I looked forward to is a big disappointment: the built-in camera. It should have been obvious, but the darn thing is on the TOP of the TV. Once the TV is mounted to the wall (up about 5 '), the camera doesn't focus only anything in the lower part of the room.

Does anyone have any idea how to work around this?
The camera doesn't seem to adjust.
I was thinking of some sort of mirror arrangement.
Can I connect a different camera? Can this one be removed and re-situated?

I haven't had a chance to dig too deeply: getting reference material on this seems to be challenging.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
