Resolved Question

Can I store dvd's in cd cases?

by foodfiend / February 10, 2013 9:47 AM PST

Can I safely store the dvd's that I record on in cd cases?

My husband says that he read an article somewhere that indicated that dvd's had to be stored in specific dvd cases or the recording might get damaged.

I cannot see why this might be a problem, but your responses will be "the final word". Happy

I haven't had any problems doing it in the years I've been doing it. Maybe you should ask your husband where he read this.

Answer
I store CDs in folders; DVDs in cases

Since DVDs have much smaller pits on the metal surface, they tend to be the more sensitive of the two unfortunately.
