Camera Interlaces videos

by arteb182 / March 8, 2013 4:49 AM PST

Hey there,
I borrowed a camcorder from a friend, Panasonic 3mos HDC-SD900, and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. She doesn't know either. I have a mac and as the manual says, I need to record in iFrame mode in order to edit the videos BUT the quality in iFrame is bad and I borrowed her camera because it's soposed to be HD. When I record in HD though the videos are interlaced and in .MTS. So, my question is, how do I record in high quality with no interlace?

You may have to "de-interlace."

I've tried everything. nothing works. Isn't the camera suposed to be compatible with everything? especially editing softwares. I mean it's an 1000 euro camera. Is there any other way to record without interlacing but still have good quality?

If the camera doesn't then it does not.

It sounds like the camera is 1080i and not 1080p.

Check those specs.
