I don't remember if the calendar control in access 2000 allows a click event, but 2003 doesn't. you can get around this by adding another button to the form. try this:

add the calendar control to the form and name it Calendar1. add a button below the calendar and name it cmdUpdateDate. (if you want to change the names just make sure you change them in the code also). replace fldName with the name of the field that you want the date to be entered in (don't forget to change the format to date in properties).

select the cmdUpdateDate button, and select the on click event. select code. this will bring you to the vba editor. you will see the following code:

Private Sub cmdUpdateDate_Click()
End Sub

enter the following code:

Private Sub cmdUpdateDate_Click()
fldName.Value = Calendar1.Value
End Sub

save this, and return to the form view. Select a date on the calendar, click the update button, and the date should be placed in the selected field.

hope this helps
