1. Make it a warranty issue.
2. Use other solutions.
c. Roxio, Nero, etc.
d. DVD FLICK
Or better yet, ProShow Gold.
This is not an offer to troubleshoot Microsoft's native recording methods. I found those to be trouble and more trouble. I learned years ago to use other solutions.
I have two computers, one HP laptop and a Dell Vostro, both are about a year old, have Vista HP and 2 GB ram. Using Window Explorer I am trying to burn a DVD-R with 1.97 GB of JPG?s. Most of the photos are 2-3 MB. I open the file, select all, and then follow the burn procedures. About half the time (both computers) the process stops and will not complete the burn and locks up the computer. This does not happen at the same place in the file so I don?t believe it is a corrupt photo. I also started with Windows Photo Gallery and the results are the same.
This may by related but none of the successful DVD?s will play on my DVD player. It is supposed to recognize such discs but it will not. What I mean by successful is I can burn it on one computer and view it as a slide show on the other. Thanks.
