When I get one of these cryptic errors, I usually to to the MS web support web site and search on the error code. Here's a link

This sounds to me like a video DRIVER problem. If you downloaded the driver from any place other than HP, I'd suspect that first thing. Some of the suggestions at the above link are to contact the manufacturer, FWIW. My experience with HP's tech support has been anything but positive, but it's worth a shot.
