Like this thread, but even then it's hit and miss. I also wondered about a DoS attack, but for what reason would it be done?

but it did load the a-father-owns-Congress page.

It's probably a glitch either at CNET or elsewhere. I'm always amazed the Internet works as well as it does given its size and complexity.

Because it is possible to access new threads somewhat, but difficult to impossible to access older ones, just hours older. One time I ended up at a thread from 2003 started by Ian from Oz, that's 10 years ago and that wasn't the link I clked on for sure.
