blue screen on windows xp desktop

i keep getting this weird blue screen on my desktop which keeps forcing me to rollback my computer is there a way to fix this without using system restore.


am adding a picture of my desktop

I'm guessing that is some Active desktop component.

Try right click on the red desktop and properties. Find the Web or active desktop item and in there turn it off.

I try that didn,t work does anyone know what cuase the screen to half or know how to restore the screen to full with out using windows restore if someone could help that would be nice.

anthony72, Is appears that the Common Tasks Pane is appearing on the left side of your Desktop. Go to the link below and scroll down to "Common Tasks"-"Remove Common Tasks from Desktop" and download the "Regedit" reg file. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt. It should correct your problem and is safe to download and run.
