Looks old. Did you do the usual work?

Given what I'm seeing I would have the case cover off to clean and replace all heat sink compounds. Then fire it up without the case cover to check fans. Leave the cover off for now.

It does not sound like a software issue but the same old thing.

I have yet to get any questions answered:

I was headed to the asus support and get in shape rar software but it does not work

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/K40IN/ shows the usual Pentium laptop and given the 2009 issue date of the CPU this laptop probably needs the usual heatsink cleaning and again, the usual work.

Sometimes you get a client that can't wrap their heads around the usual and go looking for drivers or a software issue so you give the time and more rope.
