Question

Blocking a program

i have an hp paviprogramlion g6 I want to load a program already on my computer but block part of it from running or loading. How do i do that. can you help? thanks

That depends entirely on the program, but as a general rule, this isn't going to be possible. By and large, you either load all of a program or none of it, there is no in between. If you gave a few more details about what you're trying to do, it might help.

User Account Control (UAC) blocking it.
I have had much problem on a start-up program called BOINC with my Vista computer. I turn off UAC, it turns back on, I set the program to safe to run, still blocks it, every time the computer restarts or turned on/off I get "windows has blocked a program" and the problem is the UAC. This started maybe a year ago on that computer, I think there was an update on the UAC and it never has worked the same after.
Two ways to get it going, the .exe file or on the task bar UAC icon left(?) click and go through that.

But as Jimmy said blocking part of a program is not normal, all or nothing. That makes me think it is a registration issue or a demo version, something like.
