Beware Fumfie

Theres another very large ongoing thread about the business *** Fie. I sure do wish I had read it before I placed an order with them. Now that thread has been going on for so long that this site will no longer allow me to post to that thread. So Im making a new thread in the hopes of warning people away from a nightmare trying to do business with *** fie.

I ordered a refrigerator with *** fie in N.Y.
They originally told me it would be a week before I received tracking info for the fridge.
After a week went by and I hadn't received anything at all I called them, this is when I started dealing with A man named Simon. He said he would look into it and get back to me. 3 or 4 days later after I never received a call or email I called him. No info yet, he will let me know. After this went on for a month he started playing games with me, wiggling the phone cord so the connection sounded bad and would break up so we couldnt talk. Then other times he would put me on hold for 10 to 15 minutes at a time to see if he could get me to hang up so he wouldn't have to deal with me. All the time this was going on I didn't realize what he was doing. I'm now a little ashamed for not seeing sooner. Then for a couple of weeks he would transfer me to another department. It was a woman. She would tell me the same lies. I'm going to get you a tracking Im going to see why the refrigerator is still on back order. I don't know why it's on back order for so long. They charged me for the refrigerator when they took the order, so now I'm realizing what I'm dealing with and am becoming concerned about getting my money back. After 2 months yes 10 weeks, I finally told the woman and Simon you are a liar give me my money back. It took quite a fight but he did give me my money back.
This was a Tuesday morning, by 3 Tuesday afternoon I had the same make and model fridge ordered through an official distributor of that manufacturer. He explained to me that the manufacturer probably wouldn't give *** Fie such a new model fridge because he was not a distributor of theirs. *** fie was just trying to take a sale that they weren't supposed to have. They didn't care at all about me or what they did to me. 3 Tuesday afternoon I gave the new appliance store the order, by 6 o'clock that evening I got an email from a trucking outfit they were going to pick up the fridge, by Friday the fridge was at my home.
PLEASE read all of the comments people have posted about doing business with *** fie BEFORE you give them an order you'll be glad you did.
The Better Business Bureau has over 70 complaints for *** fie in the last 12 months alone Do you know how much trouble you have to go through to get a complaint in to the BBB And the BBB has them listed with an A rating their the first ones who are going to hear from me.

Unfortunately for reasons beyond our control, there was a nationwide delay with the model you had purchased. I promised to keep you updated throughout the process, which I constantly did. We do understand that units are sometimes needed by a certain time frame, and we do our best to get our products to our customer's as soon as possible. We have many representatives, and the appropriate action was taken towards the CS Agent you spoke with. We take pride in our Customer Service, and understand that without our Customer's, we would not be around. Our goal is to provide our customer's with the 5 star service they truly deserve, along with getting our customer's the lowest prices possible. If we ever have a customer that is upset, we will go above and beyond to make sure they are completely satisfied with their shopping experience. between 2 1/2 and 3 months you lead me along with the promise of getting the refrigerator "for sure" this time.
As I stated in my first post, on a Tuesday morning I had enough of your smoke and mirror games. In 3 hours I had a better price on the same refrigerator from a reputable outfit that WAS an authorized distributor of that manufacturer. By 6 PM that evening I had been contacted by a trucking carrier that they received instruction to pick up my refrigerator. On Friday the refrigerator was in my home. I told you this in our "lengthy conversations"

Sean, I spoke to you once, you emailed me once, then left me to Simon. You should be as ashamed of yourself as Simon. You are as guilty as he is. And yet you continue to let him work there. Do you think I can't figure out that he and you are related to the owners or are the owners of *** Fie. That is the only explanation why he is still working there. He is disgusting. I said before I was a bit ashamed of myself for not catching on sooner. I shouldn't be ashamed of myself, he should be ashamed. Now you should be ashamed of yourself for defending him. Your lying here and now proves nothing has changed. Simon is a terrible decision maker. For one sale, on one refrigerator look what he risked. His actions toward me are the reason you and him lost the risk so badly. Well Sean, answer, is Simon still working at *** Fie in any capacity?

Sean, the first thing I said to you is the same I say to everyone for any purchase, "no rush" It doesn't have to be tomorrow, it doesn't even have to be this week, why do you think it was OK by me in the beginning for me to be getting answers like "For sure this time , tomorrow I'll have a tracking # for you" then it would take 3 days for me to call Simon back, after a few of these, he started playing with the broken wire phone cord, and putting me on hold for 15 minutes at a time to get me to hang up.
Come on Sean, answer another question, Was no one else in your establishment aware of what he was doing? How could I be on hold that long and no one else picked up the phone, unless they had instructions from him "don't pick up that line" "you can pick up any other". What I went through would have been impossible with out this going on.

Sean, Simone did me so bad look how much trouble I'm going to.
Do you know how long it's taking me to type this, to answer each of your untrue statements.
Guess what Sean, I didn't file a complaint with the BBB. I found it too difficult and time consuming a process. So I found other avenues to try to make people aware of the possible ramifications of doing business with *** Fie. Like posting on blogs like this one.
Now that should say something. 72 other people filed complaints with the BBB over doing business with *** Fie in the past 12 months alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

250,000 orders, with 72 resolved closed complaints over a 3 year period is an extremely good ratio. Hence our A rating with the BBB. Although we have tried to rectify the situation, there are few customer's that simply choose not to be happy. As you clearly see from this thread, we always go the extra mile for our customers to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.

Hello Guys,
Henry here looking to address onebadhawks questions.

Q. What action was taken?
A. When you ordered we actually just started a new appliance division. Unfortunately there was a small learning curve. My team is very familiar as tow how to handle a CS call regarding our CE category. Appliances on the other hand is a totally different animal. There BIG & require logistics other than shipping a 10 lb box via ups. The order process is totally different.
After a few weeks and some customer service problems which came about we did the following

1. We made a new division called Basically we made a new website with functionality dedicated to the appliance category. This took a lot of time from our developers but was a necessary investment.

2. We brought in appliance specialists with years experience in the appliance industry. Our new team is knowledgeable as some have experience in major big box stores such as Best Buy & PC Richards.

3. We made a new support # for appliances so an appliance customer will never be dealing with a cs rep who only has experience in the CE Category and vice versa.
<div>In a nut shell & are two different websites, different phone numbers, support email ect. This is to better satisfy our customers.</div>
Q. Does Simon still work here?
A . Yes he does, he specializes in the CE category and will never handle an appliance call again. He's been with us a while and is one of my top camera reps. He was reprimanded for his actions and is doing great. Trying to get a hard working family guy to go file for unemployment in this economy is not an admirable trait.

In conclusion:
We would like to thank onebadhawk for his comments. We appreciate all feedback both positive or negative, this guides us in what areas we need to improve.

I'm not sure about the small electronics division or whatever but the Appliances Department at FUMFIE.COM is a scam just like the original poster said.

Here's my story

I Ordered a stove from these slicksters. Elliot, he's the smooth talking guy that tells you your oven will be on the next truck out - of course it never makes it to the truck because there is no oven!!!! Elliot called me personally - it's creepy that this slickster has my phone number and address now - anyhow he called and talked me into express delivery. For an extra $100 I could get it delivered in 10 days. Imagine how excited the family would be when it shows up just in time for Christmas. Sadly, over a month later, and after numerous phone calls and promises that my oven would be on the next truck out the oven never showed - so I ask for a refund on the express delivery. They're still promising to deliver that, but that money has never showed up yet. After I realized that I'd been had I cancelled the whole order...Instead of them crediting my credit card they said they were going to send a check....***!!!! Who does that!? Anyway they swore they sent it 15 days ago so I called yesterday and Joyce, who swears she's a lady of her word, said the mail may have lost it. She said she was going to check into my missing refund check yesterday. So I called her a little while ago and she said she's gonna stay on this until she gets me an answer. Well she calls me back and tells me she can't help me today but she will get me an answer Monday.
What you need to know is this....I've been scammed and you too will be scammed if you do business with these cons. DO NOT TAKE THE ADVICE OF THESE 5 STAR REVIEWS.....THEY ARE BOGUS!!! I've read all over the internet where these guys have screwed other people over the same way I got screwed. I nearly blew a gasket when I started reading how other people had been taken the same way I was. This is not an isolated incident. This is something they do on a normal basis. THEY WILL SCREW YOU TOO...AND REMEMBER...IF THE PRICE IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN IT PROBABLY IS....especially from a company you've never heard of before.
One last thing...go to Google Maps and take a look at their address and then ask yourself if that is a place you would send your hard earned money.

I will post this anywhere I feel FUMFIE.COM will be able to advertise in hopes that no one gets scammed by this horrible company again!!!
