Best Tablet or E-Reader for PDF Reading?

by Socinus / April 14, 2012 11:06 AM PDT

I'm looking for a tablet or e-reader to read PDF files.

I have a wide assortment of PDFs; some are very image intensive, some are pictures, some are just plain text.

I'm not looking for features beyond excellent PDF reading capability. A larger screen would be a plus.

Any suggestions?

Then you may be forced

Here's my bet. You will compare the PDF capabilities to your PC.

This means you won't be happy until you get a Windows Tablet so the same "excellent" PDF software can be used.

I've seen this request before and for now, the only acceptable solution would be a Windows tablet. There are a few out there so do that or at least try the iPad.

What kind of PDF

If your PDF's are pretty standard, you'll be able to easily read them on most tablets, but you'll have to get a PDF-reading app (there are many).

If your PDFs have some advanced functionality in them, you'll most likely have problems using them comfortably on any tablet.
